Opera Boys on ITV News

A few weeks ago we performed at The Shrewsbury Flower Show. It was a fantastic event that attracted around 10,000 people and we were fortunate enough to be asked to perform as the headline entertainment.

The show was spread over the weekend of with all sorts of attractions, stalls, and entertainment going on throughout the day. Two Michelin starred celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, who has appeared on Great British Menu, Masterchef and Saturday Kitchen, was one of the main attractions during the daytime, giving cooking demonstrations and question and answer sessions.

There was a main arena set out with a large outdoor stage and pa system set up for all the evening’s entertainment – a bit like a smaller version of the main stage at Glastonbury – and this is where we performed in the evening much to the delight of all the Flower Show goers…!

We performed a concert program featuring well-known operatic arias and classical favourites with a few other bits and pieces thrown in. We also performed out recently released charity single – a classical version of Robbie William’s Angels, which was released on behalf of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Just in case you haven’t done it already, you can download the single from the SHOP page on our website (every penny goes to Alder Hey).

The Shrewsbury Flower Show is the second largest of it’s kind in the UK, second only to The Chelsea Flower Show. It was a fabulous event that was very well organized and we were thoroughly looked after by all involved.

ITV News covered the event and we just so happened to bump into them during the day. We were asked if we would perform a little bit for the segment and of course we happily obliged. You can check out the clip on Youtube – we are featured about 2 mins in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZXXMczjhaU
