Hazlitt Theatre Concert

Last week we performed a concert at The Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone. The concert sold very well and we had a very good house on the night. We went front-of-house after the show to greet the audience as they were leaving and the feedback we got from everybody on the way out was lovely… If you were there and had pictures taken with us please send them to us!

The Hazlitt Theatre is a lovely venue. It is a mid-sized theatre that holds around 350 people which creates a big enough crowd to have a great time, but also allows us to keep fairly intimate with the audience and really connect with them through the show. For our concert we had a fantastic audience who were definitely up for a good time and really enjoyed our style of music… We received a standing ovation at the end of the first half, and the second half!

The music in the show ranges through well known operatic arias, popular classical songs and west end smash hits as well as our own take on a couple of modern day pop songs (including our charity single which is a classical version of Angels by Robbie Williams – available to download from our website). There is sometimes a slight preconception that opera is a bit “stuffy” and not a lot of fun, but the whole show is very light hearted and delivered with a lot of fun and humour (we had the audience at The Hazlitt Theatre in stitches last week!).

We had a great time at The Hazlitt with a wonderful audience and the theatre manager, and technical team were excellent and really looked after us. We are looking forward to returning to The Hazlitt next year and further tour dates around the country are currently being scheduled for 2015 so if you missed us at The Hazlitt then keep an eye on the website as we might just be coming to a theatre near you next year – tour dates for 2015 will be announced very soon!
